Maria Fedyna

Piano

Maria Fedyna is a young Ukrainian pianist whose artistic focus lies in chamber music and collaborative performance. She works in various ensemble settings, where balance, shared musical breathing, and close interaction between musicians are of central importance. This attentiveness to ensemble playing strongly shapes her interpretative approach.

Maria Fedyna began her musical education in Kropyvnytskyi and continued her studies at the Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy in Lviv, where she studied piano and chamber music with Professor Olena Pylatiuk, as well as collaborative piano with Maria Makara. She obtained her Master’s degree in 2024. Since 2022, she has been working as a collaborative pianist at the violin class of Professor Ihor Pylatiuk at the same academy.

She is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, including the International Piano Forum Bieszczady bez granic, the competition Music Without Borders in Druskininkai, and is a scholarship holder of the Wagner Society in Bayreuth. Maria Fedyna performs actively in duo and trio formations with young musicians from Lviv, presenting both European chamber repertoire and works by Ukrainian composers of the 20th century, including Vasyl Barvinsky, Borys Lyatoshynsky, Ivan Karabyts, and Theodore Akimenko.
