Lviv Trio

Kateryna Shalayska, Modest Mentsinskyi, and Mariia Fedyna are musicians from Lviv united by many years of shared work, studies, and friendship. They perform together regularly, shaping their programmes as coherent ensemble statements and spending much of their artistic life on stage. This trio naturally represents the contemporary Lviv performance scene, where chamber music forms the foundation of artistic thinking. For this reason, the Sounds of Ukraine festival invited this Lviv ensemble to Cologne and entrusted them with the performance of the piano trios by Vasyl Barvinsky and Antonín Dvořák — a programme that requires a mature ensemble, inner unity, and a shared musical vision.
