Nazarii Pylatiuk

Violine

Nazarii Pylatiuk is among the most prominent violinists of contemporary Ukraine, an artist with a strong individual voice and a distinctive musical vision. He performs extensively in Ukraine and internationally, appearing on major stages across Europe and the United States. His artistry is marked not only by sound quality, but by a deep concern for musical meaning and expression.

He is Professor at the Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy in Lviv, a soloist of the National House of Organ and Chamber Music of Ukraine, a recipient of major state awards, and a People’s Artist of Ukraine. Chamber music plays a central role in his artistic work. His repertoire ranges from Bach to Piazzolla and is always shaped as a coherent artistic statement. Contemporary Ukrainian music holds a special place in his career: he is a first performer and dedicated advocate of works by composers such as Myroslav Skoryk and Bohdana Frolyak.

An important part of his concert life is his long-standing collaboration with pianist Violina Petrychenko. Among their most notable projects is a programme dedicated to the music of Valentin Silvestrov, including the first complete performance in Lviv of the cycle “Melodies of the Moment” in a single, uninterrupted concert, as conceived by the composer. This interpretation received highly favourable reviews from music critics and became a landmark event for Lviv’s musical scene.
