Rostyslav Fedyna is among the most prominent young pianists of contemporary Ukraine. His artistic profile combines the analytical depth of a scholar with vivid stage presence and technical confidence. He represents a generation of musicians for whom the promotion and rediscovery of Ukrainian music has become a central artistic mission. His interpretations are marked by stylistic clarity, a deep understanding of musical form, and a commitment to thoughtful communication with the audience.
Rostyslav Fedyna received his musical education in Lviv, studying at the Solomiya Krushelnytska State Music Lyceum and later at the Mykola Lysenko National Music Academy. He is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, including First Prize at the Yevhen Stankovych Competition and the top award Złoty Parnas at the International Piano Forum Bieszczady bez granic (Poland). He has also received special prizes for the best performance of Ukrainian music at international competitions in Paris, Druskininkai, and Poland.
In 2025, Fedyna realised a major artistic and research project by presenting, for the first time in Ukraine, the complete cycle of Ukrainian piano sonatas (by Vasyl Barvinsky, Levko Revutsky, Viktor Kosenko, and Borys Lyatoshynsky). He performs actively as a soloist, chamber musician, and with orchestras, consistently advocating for Ukrainian piano music in today’s concert life.
