Andrii Paliarush, born in 2002 in Ukraine, began studying clarinet at the age of eight. Shortly thereafter, he became a junior student at the Glière Academy of Music in Kyiv, where he graduated with a Junior Specialist degree in 2021. As a youth, he achieved first prizes in several national and international competitions, including the Kalio-Mülberg Competition in Odessa 2017, the I.C.M.U. In October 2021, Andrii was admitted to the renowned clarinet class of Prof. Nicola Jürgensen at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany. Since beginning his studies in Germany, he has received increasing concert invitations, particularly in chamber music ensembles. He is a member of "Folkwang Clarinets," the ensemble of clarinet students at Folkwang University under the artistic direction of Prof. Nicola Jürgensen. He has appeared multiple times as a chamber musician and soloist at the "Klangraum Festival Köln". Additionally, he is a scholarship holder of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and has been invited to participate in several projects of this ensemble.
In 2022, the Ukrainian emerging clarinetist reached the finals of the "YAMAHA Europe Music Foundation" international competition. A year later, Andrii became a scholarship holder of the Mozart Society Dortmund. As part of this support, his upcoming performance at the Dortmund Concert Hall will be documented with the production of a video trailer by Record Music Group. Last Wednesday, Andrii had the honor of performing Carl Maria von Weber's 2nd Clarinet Concerto with the Bremer Philharmoniker under the baton of Felix Mildenberger at the famous Bremen Concert Hall "Die Glocke" during the 5nachsechs Afterwork Concert.
In July of this year, he is invited to perform at the "Lange Nächte der Gipfelstürmer," a selection of promising young soloists, as part of the Gezeitenkonzerte festival in Ostfriesland.
